Good news. as an update from the last post, David came to my apartment Wednesday morning. I was getting ready to go to the school when the door bell rang. I'm almost always surprised when the bell rings, because people rarely come to visit unannounced. Anyway, it was David, and he wanted to talk. This time he was clearly in his right mind. He sat down and told me the whole story about what has been happening in his life. Without going into all the details, about 6 months ago, he started dating a Ukrainian girl. The relationship pretty much turned him away from the Lord. On top of that, it seems that she was seriously into witchcraft. When he finally realized the depths of the evil she was involved in, he tried getting away, but it became pretty crazy spiritual warfare. Last Saturday night after he had run out of her house with no coat and no shoes, he ended up back at the dorm. He wanted someone to pray for him so he found some Nigerian guys that were I guess "pastor" in a Nigerian church near by... long story short... they gave him some horrible, unbiblical council. It was basically messed up. By the time they were done with him, they had him convinced that God wanted him to die and he wasn't supposed to leave his bed until it happened... this is where Stephen and I found him. After leaving, and seeing that he indeed DIDN'T DIE, he came to his senses. so when he came to me, I stayed with him for a while and showed him through the Word how those guys were wrong and also challenged him about the relationship with that girl. I challenged him to stay in the Word and return to fellowship, as he hadn't been to church in a long time. He came to church Thursday night praise the Lord!

I just bought this thing called the magicjack, I can't wait to see if it works over there. It is supposed to let me take a Cleveland phone number with me to anywhere in the world that I can get a boardband connection. I can make a receive phone calls, get voice mail and caller ID $40 for the first year (includes the jack) and $20 a year thereafter. Mr. Mac turned me on to it.
Hey, tell your lovely lady that mom got her letter today. She says that Diana has very nice handwriting.
Mom got a dress from Mrs. Mac and I really like it but it will need a little adjustment.
Since Diana lives walking distance from the church, I think we need to observe the Hebrew tradition and have the groom's party
walk to the home and bring the bride to the church while dancing and playing music. I can just see Jake walking along playing the mandolin.
