Please get in contact if you want to hang out. We will be at Calvary Chapel Cleveland this Saturday from 2-6pm for an open house/ reception. If you are in Cleveland during that time, please stop by for a few minutes and say hi. If you haven't seen any of our wedding pics yet, you can check out our photographer's site  .

  • Diana and I are back in Donetsk again. Last week we came to apply for the visa, now we're back to pick up the visa. We took an 8hr. overnight train last night from Kharkiv, and tonight we're take a 6 hr. bus back. Then, tomorrow night we take another overnight train to Kiev to meet my parents!!! I'm so excited to see my parents and 3 brothers. It means so much to have family here with me for this special time. We'll have a few days all together at the national conference in Kiev, before we head back to Kharkiv to the craziness of wedding prep. So keep praying for us. I really love this lady!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey everyone, Diana and I are headed to Donetsk tonight by train. We have an appointment with the Czech embassy to get her a visa. We are planning on going to Prague for our honeymoon. I don't need a visa, but she does because she's a Ukrainian citizen. So you can pray for our time there and favor with the embassy. I'm not really concerned about it, because Diana already has many visas to multiple countries in her passport. She shouldn't have a problem getting it. I'm praying that they will give us a visa same day instead of having to take another trip back to Donetsk. The Lord totally worked the timing out for her to have the time off to go. We found out last week that this Tuesday (the day we're going), the school will be closed for one day.

Besides that.... everything is coming along for the wedding planning.

  • HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!!!

Hey everyone!! It's My 3 year anniversary for when I arrived in Ukraine!! Actually it's three years for the Pomeroy's too! Wow!! It's pretty amazing to think about all that God has done these last 3 years. I feel like I've grown and changed so much. It's been some of the hardest, yet best years of my life so far.
Let's look at a few things that have happened the last three years:
    1) In the last three years, I've had 5 different apartments (one with the bathtub in the kitchen!)
    2) In the last three years, I've grown to love my iBook more and more (definitely a good choice)
    3) In the last three years, I've ridden on 14 air planes, and over 85 trains (I lost count)
    4) In the last three years, I've developed some very close friendships (especially you Jonny)
    5) In the last three years, I've been lost in some weird places (anyone remember my post, Lost in Mordor?)
    6) In the last three years, I've been able to take part in baptizing people that I had discipled
    7) In the last three years, I've visited 3 new countries (Ireland, Hungary, Czech Republic)
    8) In the last three years, I've slept in an orphanage
    9) In the last three years, I've had insomnia a LOT

    And....

    10) In the last three years, I've met my WIFE!!!!!

Good news. as an update from the last post, David came to my apartment Wednesday morning. I was getting ready to go to the school when the door bell rang. I'm almost always surprised when the bell rings, because people rarely come to visit unannounced. Anyway, it was David, and he wanted to talk. This time he was clearly in his right mind. He sat down and told me the whole story about what has been happening in his life. Without going into all the details, about 6 months ago, he started dating a Ukrainian girl. The relationship pretty much turned him away from the Lord. On top of that, it seems that she was seriously into witchcraft. When he finally realized the depths of the evil she was involved in, he tried getting away, but it became pretty crazy spiritual warfare. Last Saturday night after he had run out of her house with no coat and no shoes, he ended up back at the dorm. He wanted someone to pray for him so he found some Nigerian guys that were I guess "pastor" in a Nigerian church near by... long story short... they gave him some horrible, unbiblical council. It was basically messed up. By the time they were done with him, they had him convinced that God wanted him to die and he wasn't supposed to leave his bed until it happened... this is where Stephen and I found him. After leaving, and seeing that he indeed DIDN'T DIE, he came to his senses. so when he came to me, I stayed with him for a while and showed him through the Word how those guys were wrong and also challenged him about the relationship with that girl. I challenged him to stay in the Word and return to fellowship, as he hadn't been to church in a long time. He came to church Thursday night praise the Lord!

On another note, I was looking through some pictures on my computer and I found this cute one:

This is a pic of us in Kiev right before she left for India
